Additional Relevant Details Pluristem Therapeutics is developing PLX-PAD cells to be used to treat severe preeclampsia in pregnant women.  The cells are currently in an animal model study to test the efficacy of the cells, per requested by the FDA.  Previous studies have shown the cells to be safe for both mother and fetus, and Japan approved PLX-PAD cells for use in clinical trials in 2015.  Data from the animal model is to be released in H1 of 2016.
